How to download, make, and burn ps2 backups ON MAC! (wirtten turtorial) (HD)
Posted on July 30th, 2010 25 commentsWatch my other video for more help with Toast 10: www.youtube.com This video is for educational purposes only!!!!! song: “Voices” by “Saosin” programs: “Toast Titanium 10 & Stuffit Expander links: Where to buy swap magic: search.store.yahoo.net stuffit expander: www.macupdate.com … (Special thanks to “The MacApp” ‘s blog) Thanks for the toast 10 links. Here is the link for the “The MacApp” ‘s video: themacapp.blogspot.com … ps2iso.net … today you will learn how to make ps2 backups on you mac without using torrents! First, you are going to need “stuffit expander” and “toast titanium 10″. (links are in the description) Second, you have to either put your ps2 game in your dvd drive and read it in “toast titanium 10″ to a .toast file or you can download the game at www.ps2iso.net. (you need to register… but its free, fast, and worth it) If you read the file to a .toast file from the ps2 game, then all you have to do is go to toast titanium 10 after it is done reading the game, and burn it to a DVD -R or DVD -R DL at the write speed of either 1x, 2x, or 4x. (the slower you burn it, the better your game will turn out). Only use the DL if the file is too big like “God of War” or “Guitar Hero World Tour”. (those games will not fit on a normal DVD -R) If you downloaded the files from www.ps2iso.net, make sure your “stuffit expander” is updated to the most recent update. Then double-click the file you download that has the “stuffit expander” icon on it (usually the first …

you will need any normal ps1 game… or swap magic… or a modchip… or other kinds of disk softwares… either one works fine. Look them up on youtube for more info on how to do it… for example, like how to use a normal ps1 game to boot up a burnt one. just look it up and you will be fine… hope i helped! : )

@HelpApple they do work, but you need to burn them on to a cd -R, not dvd.

Thanks. I think I’m going to try to find blue-tinted CDs, I hear they work best, maybe it’s my Kodak CDs I’m using.

i really dont know… but… i geuss if the img file is the file of the actual ps2/ps1 game it isnt much different than the iso file… they both give the same files, so it should work… if it doesnt, then i dont know…

I also have another quick question if you don’t mind. Do you know if .img files are ok to use instead of .iso files?

I’m trying to play them on my modded PS1 and I did everything the video says, but when I put it in it doesn’t work. Is it the brand of disc I’m using or am I missing a step in the process?

for ps1 games you need to basically do the same thing, except burn the game on a CD -R (Not dvd). then you can find a video on youtube how to play them on your ps2.

and one more thing… your ps2 will have to be soft modded… or you can use the fliptop cover for the ps2 slim instead of soft modding… look it up on youtube if you need help with this.

you did do everthing right… but… the ps2 wont read burned games unless you have “swap magic” or some kind of modchip… so if i were you i would buy swap magic…

Hey man, I’m having issues… and i need help. OK, did everything as followed…
I went to Titanium Toast 10, put my game in, copied the disk image and saved it,ejected the gamer, got a blank Verbatium -R DVD,{it was 3.31Gb} inserted it, went to COPY option and clicked image file, select the toast file of the game i copied, and asked it to burn at its slowest. After it was finished, i put it in my PS2 slim, and it and it didn’t work & said it wasn’t a PS2 disk.
Did i something that i missed???
