  For example Heavy Rain is a locked game save. You have to do a full backup on a flashdrive or external hardrive to save it.

  np and same here bro but i think i lost all of them all game saves now i have to start all over again on every game i have right now i have to start all the way from the bottom and climb back all the way on the top

  Thats because you also transfered game installs which are about 7gb each…..IDIOT ::)

  Save games are a couple of megabytes each.

  @GarthDiant yea, depends on how much memory you have on your ps3 that needs to be put on ur USB, i hav a 24gb usb but it wasn’t enough for my ps3 -.- so i bought an external hardrive

  I just ordered a new internal harddrive for my PS3 and I dont wanna spend loads more on an external harddrive. I have a pretty big memory stick here, could I just put my saves on the memory stick, then put them back on the PS3 when I get the harddrive?

  @bowleristhebest well u have a few game saves only not very big a game save for burnout paradise was about 2000kb not even as much as a song on a mobile phone but if you have lots you should get a about 2gb im not sure becuase i have two game saves

  well the slim only has usb slots so is suggest you buy a usb of ebay they do not cost more than a £4 last time i checked which is not that much of a pirce to pay

  it’ll work as long as the slim has an sd slot, if not you need the usb or external hard drive

  I have a question. My 80gb ps3 is on it’s last legs after 3 ylod quick fixes, so i’m preparing for when it completely dies. since i don’t have a usb drive i’m copying all the game saves to my psp memory stick for when i eventually get a slim after it permanently breaks. Does anybody know if i can copy the saves to the slim from the memory stick without problems or will there be red tape to navigate through?”

  with that much stuff, you need to use an external hard drive.

  My PS3 has about 40GB worth of gamesaves and videos. I want to back it up all at once using the backup utility because I know some games don’t work unless you do it all at once. So what should I do?
