  • Why can’t we make backups of Saved Games in PS3?

burn games backup ps3 games7 Why cant we make backups of Saved Games in PS3?
    Benjamin asked:

    ok…

I know the obvious answer if because of the copy protection or “yes you can, you have to make a backup of the whole system”, i know that.. but this question is oriented to the “legal” part (or “practical” perhaps).. wich is the one that I don’t understand….

It makes no sense (to me at least) to have copyright protection in saved games, taking the PS2 for example, you always were able to copy your saved games from one memory card to another…

why can’t that be applied to this particular case?….

what is so diferent from the PS3 scenario that could cause a copyright infringement? (always in the context of “saved games files”)

why would copying/backing-up the “Saved Games” folder would be any different than backing up the whole system?

    thanks in advance!
