  • Why I Originally Researched How to Burn Games to DVDs

I found a way to burn games to dvds that’s so easy a child could do it. It all started a few months ago when I purchased my XBox 360.. Right out of the box it started doing weird stuff, For example: The XBox got the red ring of death within the first week of owning it and eventually wouldn’t even power on. I waited 4 weeks for Microsoft to send me a new one, and thankfully afterwards everything appeared to be fine for the remainder of the 1 year warranty. (This is Just my luck ).. Believe it or not, a week after the warranty ended my XBox started scratching games and making them unplayable, what the heck? I called Microsoft and asked them how much a repair of this calibur would cost and the tech told me it’s going to be over $200 and 3-4 weeks. OK at this point I promptly hung up the phone and searched around town for a better solution but no one was able to recommend anything for the scratching discs error, although the Geek Squad did mention that it is a common problem with several consoles (PS3, Wii, XBox 360, Ps2, etc). My options appeared to be limited: either send the console to Microsoft, disassemble the unit and attempt the repair myself, or some how learn to burn and copy games to a DVD so after they get scratched I have an extra copy. I searched all over the web and found a huge variety of products that promised to easily fix my problem and get my games back up and running the same day, however the majority of them were just “over-hyped” software that didn’t work at all. After weeks of searching for the right program to burn games, I discovered that only one actually worked. Let’s see… I tried Easy Backup Wizard, Homebrew, and CopyThatGame.. none of these programs even worked! Finally, after trying what I thought was everything, I found a solution that seemed to work. I burned 3 games to DVDs and was able to play them immedidately on my XBox 360. The software called Game Copy Wizard, and it comes highly recommended by me and all my buddies that I have showed this software to. Well that’s how I originally got into copying and backing up my games.. Stayed tuned for more info.
