I want to install a Wiikey 2 so I can backup my game collection (some are already wrecked). I’ve read everywhere that modding voids your warranty (which makes sense). I’ve also read that simply opening your Wii voids its warranty. How can Nintendo know if you have opened and closed your Wii?

If I clip on a solderless Wiikey 2 modchip and then unclip it, how could Nintendo possibly tell?
