    Anonymous asked:

I’m not exactly tech savvy; in fact, I’m probably the farthest thing from that. However, I recently learned of these video game emulators and their, in many cases, illegal roms/isos that you can play on them .

I do not care for whether the process that must be taken to oblige the situation in the following question is legal or not, as I ask this solely for my own curiosity. That being said, put this case:

A person downloads an ISO or ROM for a, say, PS2 or Wii/Gamecube Emulator. Said person then copies that ROM or ISO onto a blank CD (Assuming enough space is present to hold it; as I understand these files are rather large). If the person then puts the disc into a PS2 or Wii (I understand that Wii reads Gamecube discs as well as those from the Wii), will the disc work just as the original game would?

Again, this is solely out of curiosity: I understand this is most likely illegal and not, under any circumstances, recommended to participate in.
